Where it goes wrong02

Most people who try Google Ads once conclude it does not work.

They were paying for the wrong searches. Four places the budget goes without anyone noticing.

01

No negative keyword list

Without one, a campaign for “dog grooming” happily buys “dog grooming courses”, “dog grooming jobs” and “free dog grooming”. You pay for every click. The searches you block matter as much as the ones you buy.

02

No conversion tracking

If nothing records which click became an enquiry, every decision after that is a guess. Most accounts we look at are optimising toward clicks, which Google is very good at selling you.

03

One ad for every search

Someone typing “emergency” and someone typing “quote” are in different moods. One ad for both converts worse than two ads written for each.

04

Sending clicks to the home page

You paid for someone who wanted one specific thing and dropped them on a page about everything. A landing page answering that one question converts several times better.

Spend monitoringWeekly
Our cut of your ad spend0%

Spend watched weekly, not monthly.

  • Keyword research before we spend anything. That includes the list of searches to exclude, which is where most budget leaks.
  • Campaign build and conversion tracking. Without tracking we’d be guessing at which clicks turned into enquiries.
  • Weekly spend monitoring. We catch a keyword eating budget within days of it starting.
  • Ad copy written for the search. Someone typing “emergency” and someone typing “quote” get different ads.
  • Reporting you can read. We lead with what an enquiry cost you.
Ad spend is separate

Our management fee is separate from your ad budget. The budget goes to Google on your own card, and we take no percentage of it.

Getting live04

Enquiries in the first week.

Day 1

What you sell

The jobs you want more of and the ones you would rather turn down. Both shape the keyword list.

Day 2 to 3

Research

Real search volumes for your suburbs, what competitors bid on, and the searches we block from the start.

Day 4

Build and tracking

Campaigns, ad groups and copy, plus tracking on your forms and phone number so every enquiry is attributed.

Day 5 on

Live, then watched

Ads start. We check spend weekly and cut what is not converting. Cost per enquiry leads the monthly report.

Questions05
What should my ad budget be?

Enough that the campaign gathers data quickly enough to optimise. Too small and it learns too slowly to be worth running. We will give you a realistic number for your industry on the call.

Who owns the ad account?

You do. It is created under your business with your billing on it, and we get access. If you leave, the account, the history and everything it learned stay with you.

Can I just pay for the build and run it myself?

Yes. A once off build gets you the research, the campaign structure, the tracking and a handover. After that it is yours. It needs about an hour of attention a week to stay efficient.

Do I need a website first?

You need somewhere to send the click. A single landing page is usually enough and often converts better than a full site, because it answers one question. Sending paid traffic to a slow or unclear page wastes the budget.

Let’s find out if we’re a fit.

Fifteen minutes, no pitch. We’ll tell you what we’d do first and what it would cost, even if that turns out to be no.
